Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase and use of tickets to events produced by Category Events LLC ("Category," "we," "us," or "our"), and your use of categoryparty.com (the "Site"). By purchasing a ticket, registering, attending a Category event, or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Purchasing a ticket, whether for yourself or on behalf of another person, constitutes acceptance of these Terms on behalf of every person the ticket admits. If you do not agree, do not purchase a ticket, use the Site, or attend the event.
2. Admission Requirements
- Entry is restricted to guests 21 years of age or older. Valid, government-issued photo ID is required at the door for every guest, no exceptions.
- Category reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who cannot produce valid ID, presents a fraudulent or altered ticket, or otherwise fails to meet entry requirements, without refund.
3. Tickets, Pricing & Payment
- All tickets are sold through our ticketing provider (Tixr, Universe, or other Category-authorized ticketing platform for a given event). Tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties are not guaranteed and may be void.
- Prices are listed at checkout and are subject to applicable fees and taxes.
- A ticket is a revocable license to attend the event and does not constitute an ownership interest of any kind.
4. Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded, including but not limited to a change in your plans, inclement weather, or partial attendance, except as set out in Section 6 below for outright event cancellation.
5. Ticket Transfer & Resale
- Tickets may be resold only through our ticketing provider's official resale tools (Tixr, Universe, or other Category-authorized platform, as applicable to that event), and only at face value. Resale above face value, or resale through any unauthorized third-party platform (including but not limited to StubHub, Craigslist, or social media marketplaces), is strictly prohibited and may result in ticket cancellation without refund.
- Category is not responsible for tickets purchased outside of our authorized ticketing provider or its authorized resale marketplace.
6. Event Changes, Postponement & Cancellation
- Lineup, set times, venue details, and event schedule are subject to change without notice. A change to any announced talent, including headliners, does not entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
- If Category postpones an event to a rescheduled date, your ticket will be honored for the new date. No refund is issued for a postponement.
- If Category cancels an event outright, with no rescheduled date, a full refund will be automatically issued to each patron on the credit card used to purchase, without any action required on your part.
- Before purchasing, we urge you to confirm the title, time, and location of the event.
7. Code of Conduct & Right of Admission
- Category reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any guest, without refund, for conduct that is unlawful, unsafe, harassing, or that violates venue policies, at Category's sole discretion.
- Guests agree to comply with all venue rules, staff instructions, and applicable local, state, and federal law while on premises.
- Illegal substances, weapons, and outside alcohol are prohibited. Guests are subject to search upon entry per venue policy.
8. Photo, Video & Audio Release
By entering the venue, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and audio-recorded, and you grant Category a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your image, likeness, and voice captured at the event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes across any media, without additional compensation or notice.
9. Health & Safety
Guests attend at their own risk and are responsible for their own well-being, including awareness of noise levels, lighting effects (including strobe lighting), crowd density, and alcohol consumption. Guests with medical conditions that may be affected by these conditions should plan accordingly.
10. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Category, its officers, employees, venue partners, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from attendance at the event, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Your ticket price is, to the extent permitted by law, the maximum amount recoverable in any dispute.
11. Intellectual Property
The "Category" name, logo, and related branding are owned by Category Events LLC. Everything on the Site — text, graphics, photos, and design — belongs to Category or is used with permission. You may view and download content for personal, noncommercial use only. Copying, republishing, or commercially exploiting Site content without our written permission is prohibited.
12. User-Submitted Content
Anything you send us or post about Category — comments, photo tags, suggestions, social media posts referencing an event — is treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. By submitting it, you grant Category the right to use, reproduce, and repost that content for any purpose, including marketing, without compensation to you.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party sites (venues, artists, ticketing partners). We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any site we don't operate. Linking to a third-party site doesn't mean we endorse it.
14. Website Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Use of the Site is at your own risk.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Category, its officers, employees, and affiliates against any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misconduct at an event, or your misuse of the Site.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
17. Changes to These Terms
Category may update these Terms at any time. The version posted at the time of your ticket purchase governs that purchase.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed to [email protected].
